Beer & Buses and other fun: Episode 38

October Fun on the Isle of Wight

We are BACK!! and as it's Guy Fawkes night this week we are back with a bang.

During the last month we have not been lazing around though, far from it. Here at the real Isle of Wight we have been busy developing new ideas and great content for the podcasts. So what better way than to start with what is going on this week and what we have been doing during the month of October.

What we will tell you about in this episode

  • Beer and Buses. The second year this has been on and it had really grown in popularity since the inaugural event. This is something that everyone can enjoy! Brilliant for children and bus enthusiasts as well as an amazing way to visit a number of local Isle of Wight’s pubs and enjoy a real ale pub crawl.
  • Dolphins in Ventnor
  • Isle of Fright Ghost Trail
  • Robin Hill Festival of Light
  • Arreton Barns Fireworks 5th November 2015
  • Yarmouth Fireworks
  • Sandown Fireworks and Parade

In the News

This week in the news Tony discusses the clock time changes and its effect on the Island along with the sad closure of Seaview wildlife encounter. Ali brings you some exciting news about a top Island athlete completing the famous Great South Run in style!

Food & Drink

In the food and drink segment we review the Horse and Groom pub in Ningwood. A great place to go with children due to its huge garden and amazing food that enticed us to return the next day.
